Shorecrest senior Angelina Vaughn receives 2026 RNA scholarship to attend Shoreline Community College to study Music
Angelina Vaughn is a fun and creative individual who loves supporting others around her. Between her years at Ridgecrest Elementary to Shorecrest High School, she has made it a point to give back to her community any way she can; being involved in various clubs at school, helping the Friends of the South Woods Forest Preservation Project, serving as a youth member on the PRCS Tree Board under the Shoreline City Hall, advocating for Ridgcrest pedestrian safety at Shoreline City Hall meetings, and hosting pet shelter drives at Ridgecrest Elementary. She hopes that with her hard work and compassion, she can leave the world brighter than she found it.
The scholarship applicant pool was full of talented and smart teens who participate in community in many ways. Congratulations to Angelina and all of our neighborhood seniors!

About the scholarship
About the scholarship
The Ridgecrest Neighborhood Association (RNA) is offering one $1500 scholarship to high school seniors who grew up or are currently living in the Ridgecrest neighborhood. Ridgecrest is defined by its boundaries of 175th Street NE (North) to 145th Street NE (South), 15th Avenue NE (East) to I-5 freeway (West).
The scholarship is for qualified students who plan to pursue continuing education through a technical program, community college or a university. Awarded funds may cover the cost of tuition and fees, books or supplies required for courses of instruction at the educational institution of your choice. The scholarships will be paid by RNA directly to the educational institution, for the use of the scholarship recipient once enrolled.
