RNA Invites Public to Help Plan New Summer Events
Board Meeting on June 9, 2020 will address cancellation of citywide events in response to COVID-19 pandemic.
The Ridgecrest Neighborhood Association invites all residents, businesses and friends of the Ridgecrest Neighborhood to join our Summer event planning efforts! We will have event leadership and volunteer opportunities at our next board meeting on Tuesday, June 9th at 7:00pm.
In response to the May 6th announcement by the City of Shoreline to cancel city sponsored and permitted events this summer, the RNA will not be able to host the traditional gatherings our community looks forward to each year.
Citywide events like Celebrate Shoreline, Concerts in the Park, National Night Out block parties, Swingin' Summer Eve and Used Book Sale will not take place this year. Ridgecrest neighborhood events such as the annual Garage Sale Day, Ice Cream Social and Outdoor Movie Night will be postponed or modified where possible to comply with city and public health orders.
The loss of these events will be felt in our community, so the RNA is looking for creative ideas to help plan safe and alternative ways for us all to connect with our neighbors this summer. Instructions to connect to RNA’s online meetings are available in the calendar below. Idea submissions and volunteer opportunities can also be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
